About the author

Paul Penfold is an Education and Technology Consultant based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with six decades of experience in education, international development and humanitarian work.

He was Head of School at British Concordance International School in Thailand from 2023 to 2026, and has led education and training projects for governments and agencies in Asia, Europe and the Caribbean, including work with the European Union, UNWTO, Luxembourg Development Cooperation and the Asian Development Bank. He holds a Master in Education from the University of Southern Queensland, and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a Fellow of the RSA.

He is now Regional Coordinator for Brave Generation Academy in Thailand and Myanmar, advises schools and organisations on AI and learning, and writes the AI in Education – Deliberately Human newsletter.
